This Hubber lives on a eco-friendly sailboat and rides an equally eco-friendly bicycle 365 days a year.  I switched from truck to TREK two years ago.  When not on the water, I'm in the water.  I ride most days in Portland, Oregon's continual rain.   My lifestyle works for few.  As a single guy I can only make it work by planning ahead--a skill that I've yet to master.   As Kermit the Frog said,  "It ain't easy being green."

I graduated from from the University of Colorado with a minor in engineering and a B.A. in English.   I earned my M Div. in Christian education from Western Seminary in Portland, Oregon.

Today, I live as a web writer, and "Oh, what a tangled web I weave."   When confused, I remind myself that I write for people not computers. The web serves me and my readers rather than me serving it.  I write as a beat writer in Northeast Portland.

I have a couple books in progress.  One will deal with memoir writing for the common folk.  The other talks about a new paradigm for living designed to attract God to my cause.

A couple times a week I pedal to a quiet place to meditate.  In that quiet place I find the inspiration and wisdom to write for my faithful followers.
